DESCRIPTION:
Cassens & Plath, Germany, micrometer sextant,160mm radius, metal frame with black finish, signed brass arc with graduations from -5 to125 and the C+P logo, micrometer drum vernier adjustment, multiple shades for horizon and index mirrors, 4x power sighting scope, lighting lamp, and black plastic handle, all in a mahogany box with certificate under the lid from the Deutsches Hydrographisches Institut dated 1968.
CONDITION:
The instrument shows wear commensurate with age including some loss of the black finish on the metal frame and index arm. Micrometer drum is a bit dirty. Battery compartment in the handle has some light corrosion. Outside of wooden box is worn and has some old tape residue on top. Accessories in the box include a brush and specialized wrench. Dimensions are for closed wooden case.
